Our cabin:

Boracay the first few days... unfortunately none from the banana boat we took- a banana shaped raft that is pulled at HIGH speeds by a boat. Ours broke down mid-trip. I fell halfway off- Kay and Nick saved me. Stacey went flying off the back end. No injuries.
Went out for fancy dinners and drinks that only ended up being $5. So cool. Great food. Awesome sandcastles constantly all over the place.
New Years: I had the BEST LOBSTER DINNER ever. Then we went out for an evening of drinks and dancing. Fireworks and dancing on the beach signaled that 2k9 was here.
Next day Nick and I went for breakfast at our favourite cafes. I had my usual mango shake.
The remainder of our time in Boracay was spent getting hour massages for $4, buying cheap sunglasses, eating scrumptious foods and enjoying the beach.
Awesome sand castles!!!!
I decided to make Nick into a merman... some Philippino children took over for me:
Our last stop was Manila... we arrived haggard after a 10 hour journey. We explored the streets of the old city, rode around in jeepys (city busses privately owned and decorated. Just climb in, pass 5 cents to the driver and hop out of the moving vehicle when you wanna get out) and saw the Jose Rizal memorial park and execution site. Saw the famous black Jesus.Supposedly it has healing powers. Some people were rubbing cloths on it and all over themselves.
And straight from the beaches of the Philippines... you know I was missing you guys back in TN....
