Graduation = Seh-su-gyo-shki.
Yep.... its tough.
The graduation was even tougher... Long ceremony in a freezing cold gym in my summer suit for 3 hours and all spoken in a language I only have a minimal knowledge of? Yikes....
and thats not even mentioning the fact that I had to say goodbye to my 3rd years for..l... ever.
Unless they come back to visit, they are now onto the next step- high school.
My last couple of days I had my last lessons with my third years (a lesson on American Junior High School graduation ceremonies.... I passed around some pics of my junior high grad ceremony (Thanks for sending those mom!) !

Pictures of my final classes with the third years:
The gym, all decorated for graduation:
My seat (behind the 3rd year English Teacher):
I really wanted to wear a kimono too but unfortunately no one had an extra one for me : (
Its about $300 to rent one (for a day!) and $150 to have a salon dress and style you. Takai!! (Expensive!!)
The students:
There was a LOT of bowing:
A little video clip of the ceremony:
Afterwards, the faculty and remaining students make a long hallway for the graduates to walk out through:
Took some pictures with my favourites... and then they were gone : (
These senseis are awesome! :
My bento boxes are always gross. Top right: pickled vegetables : p

You do not actually look any different than you did when graduating junior high. Amazing.
