Osaka

Last weekend I went to Osaka to see Sigur Ros (an Icelandic band that is truly talented) and meet up with Kay (who is an ALT just outside of Kobe and one of my best friends from college)...

We went the cheap route and took an overnight train to Osaka- yeaaaa... kinda cramped....


Once there we spent the day going to the Umeda Sky Gardens... pretty cool building that overlooks the city... amazing view!





We then went to the HEP 5 building with a giant ferris wheel on top.....






There were life size whales hanging inside it!

After that we met up with Kay at the capsule hotel-- the rooms are pretty much, well.... capsules.
(but fully equipped with a television and everything!)


Then we went to the concert!

Afterwards there were a ton of Irish drinking in the park across the street...
(like my new dress?)




Our bartender that evening really really liked America...
